Privacy Policy

Fossick is made by Lume Watch LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This policy explains what information the Fossick iOS app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address, or your Apple identifier if you use Sign in with Apple. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase.
  • Photos you scan. When you scan an item, the photo is sent securely to our AI processing provider (Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service) to identify the item and produce your appraisal. Photos are processed to generate your result and are not used to train AI models. Finds you choose to save are stored with your account so your log and profit tracking work across devices.
  • Questions you ask Digger. When you use Ask Digger, your message and any photo you attach are sent to Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to produce an answer. They are not used to train AI models.
  • Screenshots you import. If you import a screenshot of an online listing, it is processed the same way as a scan photo.
  • Location, only if you allow it. If you give Fossick permission, it uses your location while the app is open to show stores and grounds worth checking near you. Location is optional, Fossick works without it, and you can turn it off anytime in iPhone Settings.
  • Purchase information. Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and verify your access to Fossick Pro. We receive purchase records such as product, price, and transaction status. We never see or store your payment card details.
  • Usage and device information. Basic diagnostics such as device model, app version, and crash reports, used only to keep the app working well.

How we use information

  • To identify items and produce resale value estimates
  • To answer your Ask Digger questions and show nearby stores if you allow location
  • To keep your find log, streaks, and profit tracking in sync
  • To manage your subscription or lifetime access
  • To fix bugs and improve the app
  • To respond when you contact support

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information
  • We do not show third party ads or share your data with ad networks
  • We do not use your photos to train AI models

Service providers

We rely on a small set of providers to run Fossick: Google Firebase for sign in, Microsoft Azure for AI processing, RevenueCat for purchase management, and Apple for payments. Each receives only what it needs to do its job and is bound to protect your information at least as well as we do. We also use eBay marketplace data through official eBay APIs to show you recently sold comparable listings.

This website

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.

Data retention and deletion

Scan photos are used to produce your result. Your saved finds and account details are kept while your account is active and are deleted when you delete your account. Purchase records may be kept by Apple and RevenueCat as required for billing and tax. You can delete your account from inside the app under Settings, which removes your account data from our systems. You can also email us and we will handle it for you.

Tracking

Fossick does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share your data with data brokers.

Your choices and how to withdraw consent

  • Location and camera access can be turned on or off anytime in your iPhone Settings. Fossick keeps working without location.
  • You can delete individual saved finds in the app.
  • You can delete your account and its data anytime in the app under Settings, or by emailing us.

Children

Fossick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Where Fossick operates

Fossick is currently offered in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states may have similar rights. Email us and we will sort it out, usually within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for meaningful changes, note it inside the app.
